Marc grew up in Springfield, IL and is the middle son of three boys. Marc obtained his bachelor’s degree from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI, currently holds his Series 66 and Series 7 securities licenses, and is working toward his Certificate in Financial Planning from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. His early professional life brought him to Kansas City, MO working in consulting for one of the world leaders in electronic medical records. In this role he led multi-million dollar client engagements, creating and executing plans to achieve objectives for stakeholders in the C-suite to bedside care providers in an environment that spanned both short and multi-year time horizons, continuously evolving government rules and regulations, with constantly changing variables, which ironically enough, is an experience commonly shared with financial investing. He has experience building strong relationships with people coast-to-coast in North America, parts of Europe, the Middle-East, and Australia. As the “tech industry” evolved, and he moved to Colorado, Marc was recruited into working with small venture-capital funded “startup” companies, continuing his work focusing on building strong client relationships in Account Management types of roles. Working with people being the driving force in his career, he is grateful to have worked with some of the largest health systems in the country and multiple Top 10 Fortune companies. Since the world keeps evolving at an exponential pace, cutting edge technology continues to play a large role in the investment landscape being shaped in both how we invest and what we invest in. Bringing on someone that was so deeply entrenched in the tech industry and well versed in digital changes occurring all around us adds valuable insights on how we can be better positioned for the future. We are excited Marc decided to move back to his hometown and join us as the newest Financial Advisor on the Cornerstone Team!
In his free time Marc likes to volunteer, just finishing a seven-year involvement with Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring a young man. After completing the Chicago Marathon in 2007, then a long hiatus from running, Marc has started back up and completed Abe’s Amble 10K at the Illinois State Fair. He is a past elected President of a local Toastmasters public speaking group, member of the Springfield Road Runners Club, and was chosen by the Springfield Chamber of Commerce to participate in the multi-month Leadership Springfield training program.
